Meta tags in the header section of a website has been around for years now, it started out as a good way for search engines to figure out which category a website belongs to, though keywords and a description, but many things have changed since. To be honest, I still spend a little time creating meta tags, even though google, msn an the other big search engines does not use them anymore, or not quite true, some people claim that google still uses the desciption tag for something.
